Saturday’s 21km race brought this year’s Wildlife Ranger Challenge to a close after two months of build-up. Since July, ranger teams have taken on a quiz, a push-up challenge, a sit-up challenge and a 2.4km time trial, working up to race day itself. On Saturday, teams gathered at hub events in Kenya, South Africa, Zambia and Uganda, joined by others running from their own sites across Africa, and covered the 21km with up to 22kg of kit on their backs.
Well done to every ranger who took part, and to the teams behind them. Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and to Mark Scheinberg, our founding match donor, along with our other match funders.
