The Wildlife Ranger Challenge
Welcome to the Event Day Hub
3 October 2020
Organised by Tusk and Natural State
Step 2: Take Part in the Challenge
Lace-up your shoes and take part in the challenge. Snap a photo when you start. Then show our rangers you are #ForWildlifeRangers by posting on social media.
Step 3: Log Your Time
On October 3rd, 88 teams of wildlife protectors will compete in a 21 km race through the varied terrain of their patrol regions.
Their goal? To raise awareness and funds for their colleagues who are still dedicating their lives to defending wildlife and supporting local communities, despite the personal and professional threat the Covid-19 pandemic poses.
On this race hub, we’ll share messages of support and encouragement. We’ll also share inspiration and stories from around the world as thousands of supporters take part in the Challenge in solidarity with Africa’s Wildlife Rangers. You can follow the event live via our social media streams below too.
By taking part on October 3rd, you’ll be joining a global community of Wildlife Rangers and their supporters who are running, walking, and riding around the world #ForWildlifeRangers. Whether you cover 5 km or 21 km, your support will make a huge difference to those on the front line of conservation in Africa.
It’s not too late to take on the Challenge and to fundraise or donate. Please register now to join us. And follow #ForWildlifeRangers on social media for more updates.
We’re all in this together.
Wherever you are in the world, please join us from 06:00 BST on 03 October for Wildlife Ranger Challenge Race Day coverage.
