Wildlife Ranger Challenge 2021

For a second year in a row, over 1,000 supporters from 82 countries ran in solidarity with 2,000 Wildlife Rangers across 24 countries in Africa, securing over $2.8 Million USD in donations, with a match from the Scheinberg Relief Fund.

Together, we supported over 8,000 rangers across 24 countries in Africa, as well as 45 endangered species such as elephants, pangolins, rhinos, and lions, and 302,684 km2 of ecosystem.

Race Day Winners

After weeks of training, the Tarangire Ecosystem Teams A & B from Tanzania, finished the 21km course in just 1 hour and 52 minutes.

Race Day Highlights

Run with Rangers. Race for Wildlife.

On September 18th 2021, thousands of individuals ran and walked #ForWildlifeRangers. Whether covering 5km, 10km or 21 km, Wildlife Ranger Challenge supporters made a huge difference to those on the front line of conservation in Africa.

Train Like A Ranger

Throughout August 2021, ranger teams spanning the African continent united to compete in a series of mental and physical challenges, preparing for their 21km half marathon on September 18th. The winning teams were from Mozambique, South Africa, and Tanzania.
