From Djibouti to Singapore, Bhutan to New Zealand, in October 2020 over 2,000 supporters from 80 countries ran in solidarity with 2,000 Wildlife Rangers across 20 countries in Africa, securing over $10,000,000 USD in donations, with a match from the Scheinberg Relief Fund.
Support means greater security, stability and resourcing for 9,000 Wildlife Rangers across 21 African countries, protecting over 45 endangered species. 4,000,000 KM2 of ecosystem and 64,000 local livelihoods.

After weeks of training, the The Laikipia Lion Rangers of Lion Landscapes finished the 21km course in just 2 hours and 21 minutes. The Lion Rangers are a partnership between Lion Landscapes and multiple Laikipia ranches and conservancies in Kenya. See the full 2020 results here.

On October 3rd 2020, thousands of individuals ran, walked, and rode #ForWildlifeRangers. Whether covering 5 km or 21 km, Wildlife Ranger Challenge supporters made a huge difference to those on the front line of conservation in Africa.
Organizations Supported 2020
60 conservation organizations received funding from the Ranger Fund in 2020. Grants awarded to the organizations listed below benefited over 8,000 rangers, providing salaries for over 1,000 of these directly and equipment, operating costs for all of them. Over 177,000 elephant and 5,000 lions were protected, 2 million km of patrols were conducted, 9,559 snares collected and 12,000kg bushmeat recovered and 4,730 human-wildlife conflict events mitigated across 20 countries, protecting over 300,000 sq km of vital wildlife habitat.
