How It Works
How It Works
There are three main components to the Wildlife Ranger Challenge:

Wildlife rangers are required to stay at the top of their physical and mental game. Their vital work takes them into challenging environments and conditions. For their safety and wellbeing rangers train to keep in peak physical shape.
In the lead up to Race Day on 19th September, ranger teams prepare by testing their physical and mental abilities. A series of training challenges, including pushups, situps, a time trial and a specialist quiz testing their wildlife knowledge, in preparation for their 21km race.

The WRC culminates in rangers simultaneously competing across the continent in a 21km race carrying up to 22kg backpacks; an exercise designed to highlight the physical and mental resilience required of a ranger whilst running in solidarity. #ForWildlifeRangers.
